Previously, at more than 9 pm on June 14, a fire suddenly broke out on fishing boat number BD-945xx. TS anchored at Phuoc Tinh port (Long Hai commune). Although people quickly used fire extinguishers and pulled water hoses to put out the fire, it was unsuccessful.
At this time, the tide receded deeply, so the ships anchored around could not move. At the same time, due to the influence of strong winds, the fire broke out strongly and spread through 2 ships QNG-924xx. TS and SG-660xx. TS anchored next to it.
Firefighters quickly mobilized vehicles and officers and soldiers to quickly approach the scene to control and extinguish the fire. Initial records show no casualties; there were 3 fishing boats damaged in the fire. Among them, one fishing boat was half burned, one fishing boat was partially burned and 1 fishing boat was burned in one corner. Total estimated damage is more than 100 million VND.
Currently, functional agencies are verifying and clarifying the cause of the fire, and detailed damage statistics to resolve the case according to regulations.
