On July 11, the Trade Union of Pleiku Ward, Gia Lai province, successfully organized the 2026 combined men's and women's volleyball tournament for workers, civil servants, and laborers (CNVC-LD) of the ward.
The tournament attracted 6 teams from grassroots trade unions including: Gia Lai General Hospital Trade Union, Pleiku Traditional Medicine and Rehabilitation Hospital Trade Union, Pleiku Mental and Neurological Hospital Trade Union, Pleiku Lung and Pulmonary Diseases Hospital Trade Union, Sao Viet Primary, Secondary and High School Trade Union and Gia Lai Construction and Transport Joint Stock Company Trade Union to compete.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Xuan - Chairwoman of Pleiku Ward Trade Union said that the tournament is organized to practically celebrate the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, term 2026-2031 and towards the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2026).

At the same time, continue to promote the movement of physical training and sports, creating a healthy and useful playground for union members, CNVC-LĐ to exchange, learn, improve spiritual and cultural life, practice health, and strengthen solidarity between grassroots trade unions.
Thereby, contributing to building agencies, units, and businesses to develop more and more, creating motivation for union members and workers to enthusiastically emulate in labor and work, and successfully complete assigned tasks.
Within the framework of the opening ceremony, the Pleiku Ward Trade Union also integrated propaganda of the glorious tradition of 97 years of the Vietnam Trade Union through the dissemination of the Propaganda Outline.
The Trade Union also recalled the great contributions of the working class and the Trade Union organization to the revolutionary cause of the nation, contributing to raising awareness, fostering pride and responsibility of union members and workers towards the Trade Union organization.
At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee will award 1 First Prize, 1 Second Prize, 2 Third Prizes and sub-prizes to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements.
Through the tournament, the physical education and sports movement among union members and employees in the ward continues to spread, contributing to building a grassroots cultural life.
