Attending the event were Mr. Tran Van Huong - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council of Hau Giang; Mrs. Le Thi Thanh Lam - Deputy Head of the Provincial Delegation of the National Assembly; Mr. Le Cong Khanh - Chairman of the Provincial Trade Union, and leaders of various departments, branches, and localities.
At the ceremony, the Provincial Trade Union Committee presented a symbolic certificate of allocation of the Golden Heart Scholarship to the Provincial Trade Union, districts, towns, cities, and industry trade unions, with a total value of nearly 8 million dong to award 1,586 scholarships.
In addition, the Provincial Trade Union also presented an additional 50 scholarships to students in TP. Vinh Thanh, also from the Golden Heart Fund (each worth 500,000 dong). Nearly 300 scholarships were awarded directly at the program, while the remaining ones will be awarded by localities in the near future.
In his speech at the scholarship awarding ceremony, Mr. Tran Van Huong - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council of Hau Giang, stated that over the past time, the activities of the Golden Heart Fund have had a very meaningful significance, contributing to motivating and encouraging, creating motivation for children and students to study and practice better before the new school year.
Mr. Huong requested that all levels, branches, and organizations, as well as trade unions, continue to promote social mobilization to care for the education profession. At the same time, he called on organizations, businesses, individuals, and benevolent people inside and outside the province to continue supporting the Hau Giang Trade Union to care for students and workers with difficult circumstances, contributing to the implementation of social security tasks of the province.
According to the Provincial Trade Union of Hau Giang, as of this time of the year, the Golden Heart Fund has mobilized 1 billion dong, reaching 87% of the plan and over 5,000 notebooks. This is a regular activity of the Trade Union in recent times, which has been supported by trade union members, workers, benevolent people, organizations, and individuals.
