On the morning of July 18, information from the leader of the Labor Confederation (Confederation of Labor) of Khanh Hoa province said that implementing a series of activities to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929-July 28, 2024), the Provincial Confederation of Labor will Coordinate with all levels to simultaneously organize "Trade Union Meal" activities and show gratitude to workers.
Trade Union meals are organized with higher meal value and better quality. In particular, the maximum added value from union finance is 50,000 VND/rate.
For businesses that do not organize shift meals at the facility, trade unions at all levels need to encourage and negotiate to organize "Union Meals" on appropriate holidays.
The implementation period is from July 22 to July 28, with the immediate superior union at the grassroots level simultaneously organizing on July 25.
At the "Trade Union Meal" program, there will be a gratitude activity for workers . In particular, the Provincial Labor Federation will give 2,000 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, to 2,000 union members who are workers with more than 5 years of working with the enterprise. Pay special attention to labor groups in enterprises with many workers and enterprises without trade unions.
Khanh Hoa currently has nearly 1,500 grassroots unions and more than 98,000 union members. The production and business sector has 534 grassroots unions, with 43,150 union members. The number of units organizing shift meals in the province is nearly 400 grassroots Trade Unions with the value of shift meals from 20,000 VND or more.
In Workers' Month 2024, there are 2 units organizing "Trade Union Meal" activities for workers. In particular, Long Sinh Co., Ltd.'s Communist Party organized a "Trade Union Meal" for more than 100 union members with a meal value of 60,000 VND; Khatoco Printing and Packaging Joint Stock Company's Union organized a "Trade Union Meal" at the factory for 400 union members and workers with a meal value of 50,000 VND/serving.
