On July 28, the Lai Chau Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) organized a conference to meet and dialogue with union members and workers in 2026.
The forum has the direct participation of leaders of the Department of Health, Department of Home Affairs, Provincial Social Insurance and related associations and unions.
At the working session, workers raised many pressing questions related to life and rights.

Notably, there are recommendations on mechanisms to increase income for contract workers working in public non-business units, and policies to support health workers on duty.
In addition, regulations on social insurance contributions, unemployment insurance, retirement age, as well as the responsibility of trade unions in signing and supervising collective labor agreements were also brought up for discussion.
Representatives of the Departments of Health, Home Affairs, Social Insurance and the Provincial Labor Federation directly answered the contents under their authority.
The questions are explained specifically based on the provisions of the 2019 Labor Code, the 2024 Trade Union Law and the 2024 Social Insurance Law, helping workers understand their rights, obligations and current policies.
For recommendations beyond their jurisdiction to resolve, the organizing committee has recorded and summarized them to report to higher levels for consideration.
Mr. Luong Xuan Truong, Chairman of the Lai Chau Provincial Labor Federation, said that the forum is an open space for workers to reflect their thoughts and legitimate aspirations related to employment and social security.
This activity aims to promote the role of protecting the legitimate rights of the Trade Union organization, and at the same time strengthen the cohesion and trust of workers with management agencies.
The conference is part of a series of activities in response to "Month of listening to union members and workers speak" in 2026, aiming to build harmonious, stable and sustainable labor relations in the locality.
