Lai Chau - The Provincial Labor Federation has just presented gifts to support and visit and encourage families suffering heavy damage due to flash floods.

On July 22, information from the Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) came to visit, encourage and provide financial support to families affected by floods and landslides in Muong Than commune.

In recent days, prolonged heavy rain caused flash floods and landslides in Muong Than commune, causing many casualties and serious damage to people's property.

Immediately after the natural disaster occurred, the Lai Chau Provincial Labor Federation deployed support work, directly going to affected families to share, encourage and provide financial support.

The working delegation visited the family of Mr. Pham Van Hai - a case suffering particularly serious damage when the flash flood killed his wife and two young children.

Here, the leaders of the Provincial Labor Federation sent their deepest condolences and encouraged the family to soon overcome the loss and stabilize their lives.

On behalf of the Trade Union organization, Mr. Pham Ngoc Dang - Vice Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial Labor Federation presented 6 million VND in support to Mr. Pham Van Hai's family.

On this occasion, the Lai Chau Provincial Labor Federation also awarded a total budget of 21 million VND to support households with deaths and injuries due to floods in Muong Than and Pac Ta communes, contributing to sharing difficulties and encouraging families to soon overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

Towards the people affected by floods

From July 16 to July 17, 2026, prolonged heavy rain occurred in Muong Than commune, Lai Chau province, causing flash floods, landslides and serious landslides, sweeping away 13 houses of people. By 5 pm on July 20, 2026, natural disasters had caused 7 deaths, 2 missing and 8 injured, causing heavy damage to people and property, pushing many families into extremely difficult circumstances.
