On September 3, Mr. Ngo Van Son - Chairman of the Education Trade Union of Lam Dong province said that in the 2023-2024 school year, the whole sector will have more than 21,900 teachers and workers.
The number under direct management of the unit is 63 grassroots trade unions with 3,716 teachers and workers; of which 2,433 teachers and workers are female.
“With a female ratio of over 65%, we pay great attention to women's activities. Female union members, teachers, and workers are always at the forefront of the movements and activities of the Trade Union,” Mr. Ngo Van Son affirmed.
According to the Chairman of the Education Trade Union of Lam Dong province, many grassroots trade unions have had creative and practical ways of working, attracting a large number of women to participate. The movement "Good at school work, good at housework" is associated with the emulation "Innovation and creativity in teaching and learning"...
The union encourages teachers and workers to study to improve their qualifications and capacity. Currently, the whole sector has 1,260 female teachers and workers participating in training and professional development. 440 female teachers are participating in intermediate and advanced political theory classes.
Along with that, the Industry Union organized a workshop on gender equality. The Women's Unions of the affiliated Unions organized many practical activities such as workshops on "Raising healthy children, teaching good children", "The art of being a mother and a wife", "Women and family happiness"...
The contests "Healthy and beautiful female teachers", "Innovative and creative female teachers in teaching and learning"... attracted a large number of female teachers and workers to participate.
Through movements and activities, the Union introduced 1,199 members to attend Party awareness classes. The number of members admitted to the Party organization was 387.
"Among the participants in the Party awareness class, there were 992 women and 318 women were admitted to the Party," Mr. Ngo Van Son added.
