On August 7, the Provincial Health Sector Trade Union of Lâm Đồng announced that the unit had just organized a site acceptance inspection for the "Badminton Court" project for officials, members, and healthcare staff.
The project was handed over to the Grassroots Trade Union of Đam Rông District Health Center. This is a remote, hard-to-reach area of Lâm Đồng Province.
The badminton court was built with an area of over 130m2, with a reinforced concrete foundation, steel frame, tin roof, epoxy-coated concrete floor, and a windbreak fence around it.
Chairwoman of the Provincial Health Sector Trade Union, Mrs. Mai Thị Hồng Khánh, said that the project was recognized by the Lâm Đồng Provincial Trade Union as a welcome gift to commemorate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024).
According to Mrs. Khánh, Đam Rông District Health Center currently has over 160 members and employees. Due to its remote location, it has been invested in building a public housing area with 10 rooms. The number of members and employees living in the public housing area is between 30 and 40 people.
Mrs. Khánh said that the living conditions of members and employees here are very difficult. Many people have quit their jobs to find work in more convenient locations.
“Given the situation, we mobilized members and employees across the sector to contribute and support. With the amount of over 300 million dong collected, we invested in building this badminton court. From now on, colleagues here will have a place to exercise and improve their health," said Mrs. Mai Thị Hồng Khánh.
Dr. Cil Ha Bang, Chairman of the Grassroots Trade Union of Đam Rông District Health Center, expressed: “We are very delighted to receive the affection and support of the Trade Union and colleagues in the sector. From now on, colleagues will have the opportunity to exercise after work."
"This project is very meaningful and contributes to improving the living conditions so that colleagues can be more attached to their work here” - Dr. Cil Ha Bang emphasized.
