On August 8, Mrs. Pham Thi Le Dung, Vice Chairman of the Labor Federation of Lam Dong Province, said that the unit, in collaboration with the Red Cross Association of Lam Dong Province, had just organized the "Voluntary Blood Donation Festival" in 2024.
The voluntary blood donation festival was held at the Labor Culture House of the Province. Over 500 officials, union members, and laborers from various industry trade unions, the Provincial Union of Civil Servants, and the Labor Federation of Da Lat City participated in this blood donation drive.
"We have been promoting this from before to help officials, union members, and laborers understand and respond to the blood donation movement. The organizing committee of the festival has also divided the time frame appropriately to facilitate blood donation and reception," Mrs. Pham Le Dung added.
Arriving early to participate, Mr. Tran Nhat Trung, a laborer from Lam Dong Water Supply Company, shared that he has participated in the "Voluntary Blood Donation Festival" organized by the Union for over 10 years.
"My colleagues and I are very enthusiastic about participating in this festival. I have donated blood over a dozen times. I hope that my blood donation will help patients overcome their illnesses," Mr. Tran Nhat Trung expressed.
Vice Chairman of the Red Cross Association of Lam Dong Province, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Kim Hoan, said that the unit has cooperated with the Labor Federation to organize the annual blood donation program. For many years, the voluntary blood donation movement among union members and laborers has been maintained and developed strongly.
The labor unions at all levels have always accompanied the Red Cross Association to spread the movement further. Many officials, union members, and laborers have actively responded and participated.
"In this round, we built a plan to mobilize 350 units of blood. The brothers and sisters actively participated, so we received more than 50 units. This blood source will be transferred to hospitals to treat patients," Mrs. Nguyen Thi Kim Hoan added.
