On the morning of October 11, Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation announced that the unit had organized the opening of a training course for grassroots union officials.
The training course was attended by more than 900 delegates who are chairmen, vice chairmen and accountants of grassroots trade unions in the old Lam Dong province.
Ms. Vu Thi Oanh - Vice President of Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation - attended and directed the training course.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Oanh emphasized that the trade union congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term are an important political event of the trade union organization; at the same time, it is an extensive political activity among union members and workers.
The Congress is tasked with summarizing and comprehensively evaluating the workers' movement and trade union activities in the past term; determining the goals, directions, and key tasks for the next term; at the same time, electing a new Executive Committee with sufficient capacity and prestige to lead trade union activities at the grassroots level.
To organize the congress in accordance with the process and successfully, grassroots union officials need to grasp the regulations of the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union and the instructions of the higher-level union, especially on the content, personnel and election work, Ms. Vu Thi Oanh emphasized.
At the training course, grassroots union officials were guided, exchanged and discussed many practical contents in the preparation and organization of the 2025 - 2030 term union congress.
The contents include: preparing reports and documents to submit to the congress; personnel preparation process, election work; list of documents, records and forms for the congress.
In addition, the Provincial Federation of Labor also guides the work of propaganda, decoration, and celebration, as well as the preparation of estimates and settlement of congress organization funds.
According to Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation, on the morning of October 10, the unit also organized a similar training course in the old Binh Thuan province and the old Dak Nong province. In total, more than 2,000 grassroots union officials participated in the training at three locations during this period.
