After the merger of the Labor Federations of Lao Cai and Yen Bai provinces, from July 2025, the movement "All people protect national security" in trade union levels will be actively implemented, contributing to maintaining security and order.
In 2025, the Provincial Labor Federation was recognized by the Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee as an excellent unit, meeting the standard of "Safety in terms of security and order".
Currently, Lao Cai Provincial Trade Union manages more than 41,000 union members in 517 grassroots trade unions. Immediately after stabilizing the organization, the Provincial Labor Federation issued a plan to synchronously deploy the movement, focusing on non-state enterprises, industrial parks, and industrial clusters.
The highlight is that propaganda and dissemination of laws have been promoted. In the past year, trade union levels organized more than 500 propaganda sessions for nearly 43,000 union members; coordinated with the police force to organize dozens of in-depth conferences on law, network security, and crime prevention.
The application of digital platforms, population data, and electronic identification is also effectively exploited, helping to raise vigilance against high-tech fraud, "black credit" or "peaceful evolution" plots.
Not stopping at propaganda, the movement is concretized with many practical models. The "Security Camera" model at trade union agencies helps to monitor 24/24h; "Self-management groups on security and order", "Workers without drugs" are maintained at many businesses. Thanks to that, the working environment is stable, and there are no illegal strikes or serious security incidents.
Linking security protection with caring for the lives of workers, the Lao Cai Provincial Trade Union has effectively implemented social security activities. In 2025, 92 "Trade Union Shelter" houses were supported for construction and repair with a total cost of more than 4 billion VND.
The programs "Trade Union Meals", "Saturday with the People", "Saturday with Businesses" continue to spread, contributing to consolidating the trust of union members and workers.
With a methodical and flexible approach, the movement "All people protect national security" in the Lao Cai Provincial Trade Union is creating a strong spread. The force of union members and workers is increasingly becoming "on-the-spot shields", contributing to maintaining peace for businesses and localities and creating a solid foundation for sustainable development.
