On May 8, the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation organized a conference to meet and dialogue with union members and workers working at enterprises in industrial parks in the province.
Speaking at the opening, Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation Nguyen Thi Bich Nhiem emphasized that direct dialogue activities are an opportunity for trade union organizations to listen to the thoughts and aspirations, and promptly remove difficulties and obstacles of workers in the process of working and living.
Thereby, continuing to affirm the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
At the conference, representatives of trade unions, workers, and laborers frankly raised many opinions related to social insurance, health insurance, salaries, bonuses, working conditions, worker housing, meals, occupational safety and health, as well as policies for female workers.
During the working session, representatives of Lao Cai Provincial Social Insurance, Department of Home Affairs, Provincial Economic Zone Management Board and related sectors directly exchanged and answered many contents right at the conference, creating consensus and consolidating the trust of workers in the trade union organization.
According to the leader of the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation, in the coming time, the unit will continue to coordinate with functional sectors to strengthen contacts and dialogues at the grassroots level; proactively grasp the ideological and public opinion situation among workers to promptly remove difficulties, contributing to building harmonious and stable labor relations in enterprises.
Also on this occasion, Army English Lao Cai awarded 285 English scholarships and 285 Robotics scholarships to children of union members and workers with a total value of more than 484 million VND.
The activity is considered practical, contributing to supporting workers to take care of their children's education and skills development during the digital transformation period.
Along with that, the Labor Federation coordinates with the Lao Cai Provincial Police to propagate drug prevention and control and build communes and wards without drugs for workers in industrial parks.
