On November 30, the 1st Pickleball tournament in 2025 organized by Lao Cai Ward Trade Union ended with many outstanding results.
This year's tournament brings together 150 athletes from grassroots unions in the ward and some neighboring units. The events include men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed-women's doubles, competing according to the rules of the Asian Pickleball Federation.
At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 9 first prizes, 9 second prizes, 36 third prizes and 36 consolation prizes to athletes and couples who competed excellently in each event.
The rich prize structure motivates the teams and contributes to making the competition atmosphere more exciting.
Mr. Dang Nguyen Hoan - Chairman of Lao Cai Ward Trade Union said that this year's tournament not only has the participation of grassroots trade unions but also invited officials and civil servants from Lao Cai, Cam Duong, Coc San, Hop Thanh and Bat Xat wards to compete in the exchange.
"The spirit of sports exchange contributes to strengthening the connection between the government, trade unions, businesses and workers", Mr. Hoan shared.
According to the Organizing Committee, from preparation to implementation, the tournament demonstrates serious investment and smooth coordination between forces, thereby spreading the spirit of solidarity, improving health and improving the spiritual life of union members and workers in the area.
