At the conference, delegates listened to lecturers from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) and Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor convey some basic issues on: Law on implementing democracy at the grassroots level in 2022, Decree No. 59/ND-CP dated August 14, 2023 of the Government detailing a number of articles of the Law on implementing democracy at the grassroots level.
Delegates also heard about the Project "Developing labor relations in Lao Cai province" in 2024; Instruction No. 90/HD-TLD of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on assessing and classifying the quality of collective bargaining, signing and implementing collective labor agreements of trade unions at all levels; Instruction No. 11/HD-TLD of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on Trade Unions participating in implementing democracy at the grassroots level.
Through the training conference, nearly 200 union officials at all levels have been supplemented with knowledge, improved capacity, qualifications, and awareness of grassroots democracy regulations. Thereby, actively advising the Party Committee, coordinating with professional leaders to effectively organize conferences of cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers; effectively implementing the Law on Grassroots Democracy.
Thereby, contributing to the successful completion of the tasks of each agency, unit, enterprise, the tasks of the Trade Union organization and the socio-economic development targets of Lao Cai province.
