On the afternoon of January 17, the Standing Committee of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee held a meeting of the Provincial Party Executive Committee to implement the Politburo's Decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Nguyen Tien Hai - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee - to hold the position of Secretary of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term to replace Mr. Do Thanh Binh, who was transferred and appointed as Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee.
Authorized by the Politburo, Head of the Central Organization Commission Le Minh Hung announced and presented the transfer decision to Mr. Nguyen Tien Hai.
Mr. Le Minh Hung - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Committee - said: The Politburo has decided to transfer and assign comrade Do Thanh Binh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee to hold the position of Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee. This is the Politburo's recognition of comrade Do Thanh Binh personally, as well as of the collective Executive Committee of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee.
Based on the practical requirements of Kien Giang province, to ensure the direct, comprehensive, regular and continuous leadership of the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo and the Secretariat over the locality; on the basis of thorough discussion, close and multi-faceted consideration, the Politburo has highly agreed to assign and appoint comrade Nguyen Tien Hai, member of the Party Central Executive Committee, to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and hold the position of Secretary of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
Comrade Nguyen Tien Hai, born in 1965, is from Ca Mau province. He received basic training, has a master's degree in Public Administration Management; bachelor's degree in Political Theory. He is a cadre who has grown up from the grassroots and has held many positions in Ca Mau province: from Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of the province; Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office, Secretary of the Cai Nuoc District Party Committee; Director of the Department of Justice and then Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Deputy Secretary, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Ca Mau Mau Provincial People's Council. At the 13th National Congress of the Party, he was elected to the 13th Central Executive Committee.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the new Secretary of Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Tien Hai said: After more than 42 years of working in Minh Hai and Ca Mau provinces; today, it is an honor to receive the Politburo's decision to mobilize, assign, and appoint him to join the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, and hold the position of Secretary of Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee, term 2020 - 2025.
The new Secretary expressed his deep awareness that the task assigned by the Party is both an honor and a heavy responsibility in the face of high demands for Party building, political system building, economic and social development, and ensuring national defense and security in Kien Giang province; a locality with a revolutionary tradition that is on the rise.
