On June 29, information from Vinh Phu Ward Trade Union said that the unit currently has 6,925 union members and workers, operating in 47 grassroots trade unions directly under it. In the first 6 months of 2026, the situation of workers, civil servants, and laborers in the area is basically stable; regimes and policies for workers are guaranteed, there are no collective strikes, work stoppages or complicated labor disputes.
The Ward Trade Union has organized 8 dialogues and forums with more than 1,200 union members and workers participating; received more than 60 opinions and recommendations related to salaries, bonuses, insurance, meals, working conditions and occupational safety and health.
Caring activities are implemented practically. The program "Tet reunion - Spring of Gratitude to the Party" has presented 105 gifts, with a total value of more than 280 million VND. In Workers' Month 2026, grassroots trade unions supported over 350 turns of union members and workers in difficult circumstances, with a total budget of more than 150 million VND.
The Ward Trade Union also presented 46 gifts at the launching ceremony of Workers' Month; coordinated to provide free medical examinations and consultations for 150 workers; signed the "Union Member Welfare" program with Nghe An Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology.
Union member development work achieved many results. In the first 6 months of the year, the Ward Trade Union newly admitted 469 union members, newly established 2 grassroots trade unions and 1 Vinh Phu Ward Flower and Ornamental Plant Trade Union; introduced 36 outstanding union members for Party fostering, of which 32 union members were admitted to the Party.
Ms. Tran Le Thi - Chairwoman of Vinh Phu Ward Trade Union said that in the last 6 months of 2026, the Ward Trade Union will continue to strongly focus on grassroots levels, taking union members and workers as the center.
The ward trade union will focus on taking care of welfare, protecting the legitimate and lawful rights of union members and workers; especially issues related to salaries, social insurance, working conditions and occupational safety and health," Ms. Thi emphasized.
In the coming time, Vinh Phu Ward Trade Union will continue to promote policy and legal propaganda, organize activities to celebrate the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union, develop union members, and improve the quality of grassroots trade union activities.
