On the morning of November 28, Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor held a Standing Committee meeting (11th session, term 2023 - 2028); Mr. Kha Van Tam - Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor chaired the meeting.
At the conference, delegates gave their opinions on the 2024 Trade Union Activities Summary Report and discussed the directions and tasks for 2025.
The delegates basically agreed with the contents of the draft report. Especially the indicators in developing union members, establishing grassroots unions; Innovation and diversity activities in Workers' Month; Strengthening the dissemination of the revised Trade Union Law to union members and workers...
Delegates frankly acknowledged difficulties and limitations such as: Signing collective labor agreements, the increasing trend of collective work stoppages, personnel planning at the grassroots level, inadequacies in implementing Decision No. 12/QD-UBND of the Provincial People's Committee on conditions for early salary increase...
Regarding the increasing demand for labor recruitment in the coming time, delegates proposed to add content that grassroots trade unions need to negotiate with employers to increase basic wages, supplement policies and income to attract workers to work.
The conference also evaluated and classified the emulation movements of labor federations in districts, sectors and affiliated units. This is the first year that the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation has performed this function.
Concluding the conference, Chairman of Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation Kha Van Tam highly appreciated the enthusiastic and responsible contributions of the delegates. At the same time, he requested the office to absorb and filter the opinions of the Standing Committee to complete the report.
The head of Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation also explained some contents that delegates were interested in in the summary report of Trade Union activities in 2024, discussing directions and tasks for 2025.
