In order to create a strong and comprehensive change in all areas of the Trade Union organization's activities, the Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor has developed a program "Digital transformation in trade union activities, prioritizing the areas of union member management and trade union finance".
The Provincial Federation of Labor deploys and thoroughly disseminates to all affiliated unions to promote the application of telecommunications and internet systems in the union system at all levels; builds, supplements and upgrades information technology infrastructure such as computers, internet services, etc.
Mr. Tran Kim Long - Vice Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor - said that currently, trade unions at all levels in the province have invested, expanded and upgraded the I-Office and V-office document management software systems in the trade union system at all levels, ensuring smooth guidance, direction and inspection of the activities of the trade union system from the province to the grassroots level. In addition, the units also organized many conferences and training courses to provide professional guidance on the use and application of information technology, electronic storage and management of electronic archives for union officials at all levels...
Aiming for comprehensive digital transformation
According to Vice President of Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor Tran Kim Long, comprehensive digital transformation in trade union activities, prioritizing the fields of union member management and trade union finance - is one of the three breakthroughs that the 16th Congress of Ninh Binh Trade Union for the 2023 - 2028 term has proposed to build a strong trade union organization, meeting the requirements and tasks in the new situation.
Therefore, right from the beginning of the term, the Standing Committee of the Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor has thoroughly informed all union officials at all levels to identify digital transformation in union work as an important and regular task, a key factor to create a breakthrough in order to innovate the content and improve the quality and efficiency of union activities in the current period.
Also according to Vice Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor Tran Kim Long, the goal by the end of this term is to strive for 100% of grassroots trade unions and 70% or more of grassroots trade unions to exploit and use information systems, common databases, and specialized databases connected and shared from databases of the Provincial Federation of Labor, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, and Party committees and authorities at the same level. Over 80% of the total number of work records at the Provincial Federation of Labor and over 70% of the total number of work records at the grassroots trade unions and affiliated grassroots trade unions are processed online.
Strive to have 100% of union members update their information on the union member management software of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. 100% of upper-level unions and grassroots unions exploit and make good use of the shared digital platform in the field of union finance built by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, ensuring online monitoring of financial activities of all union levels...
“In the immediate future, the Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor is promoting the application of digital management software in the management of union members, ensuring timely updates and grasp of the situation of union members and workers in the province. At the same time, we will continue to apply information technology in the field of union finance,” said Mr. Long.
