On April 26, the Provincial Labor Federation said that Dien Sanh Commune Trade Union had organized a trade union press conference for the first quarter, deploying tasks for the second quarter of 2026.
At the conference, the Executive Committee of the Commune Trade Union reported on the results of activities in the first quarter of 2026. Over the past time, grassroots trade unions have closely followed the political tasks of the locality and unit, effectively implemented patriotic emulation movements, and cared for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers.
Especially, during the 2026 Lunar New Year, trade union levels promptly organized care for union members and workers. Many gifts from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Provincial Labor Federation and the Commune Trade Union were given to union members in difficult circumstances. Most grassroots trade unions have coordinated with employers to organize the Tet Reunion Program, year-end meals, and Tet gifts for union members and workers, each gift from 200,000 VND to 500,000 VND.
Besides the achieved results, the conference also pointed out some shortcomings and limitations. Some grassroots trade unions have not proactively deployed activities. Financial settlement work is still slow compared to regulations.
On that basis, the conference set out directions and tasks for the second quarter of 2026. In which, focus on continuing to innovate the content and methods of trade union activities. Promote emulation movements associated with local political tasks. Strengthen care for and protection of the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers. Actively participate in building a strong Party and government.
On this occasion, authorized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation, Dien Sanh Commune Trade Union awarded Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Provincial Labor Federation to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in trade union activities in 2025.
