According to information from the Soc Trang Provincial Federation of Labor, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, trade unions at all levels in the province have implemented many practical activities, focusing all resources to take care of the material and spiritual life of union members and workers.
The highlight was the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Dang". Here, 200 meaningful gifts from Party and State leaders were presented to union members and workers, with a total value of up to 260 million VND. The provincial National Assembly delegation presented 100 gifts, worth 50 million VND to workers at enterprises.
The Provincial Federation of Labor alone presented 7,326 gifts worth a total of VND3.48 billion by transferring the gifts into the accounts of union members and workers. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor also presented 56 Trade Union Shelter houses to union members, worth VND2.8 billion.
Trade Unions at all levels in the province have also actively used part of the union budget and mobilized social resources to present 33,076 gifts, with a total implementation amount of nearly 11.77 billion VND.
To support workers with Tet shopping, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor provided shopping vouchers for 3,200 union members at the Trade Union Tet Market, with a total value of 1.6 billion VND.
These practical and meaningful activities have affirmed the role and responsibility of the Trade Union organization towards union members and workers. Thereby, creating motivation for workers to enthusiastically compete in production and labor, excellently completing the tasks of the agency, unit, and enterprise; at the same time, actively participating in activities organized by the Trade Union.
