Go! Supermarket (Go Vap District), open from 10am to 10pm. Many customers have come to shop, the shelves are full of goods. "I went to buy some fresh food for my family to use during Tet. The items are quite complete, with many promotional programs" - Ms. Le Thi Van (living in Go Vap District) shared.
At Coopmart Nguyen Dinh Chieu supermarket (District 3), people gathered to buy vegetables, fruits, meat, fish... Purchasing power did not fluctuate abnormally, because the demand for shopping on the first day of the year was not much.
"On the 29th of Tet, I went shopping, but the goods sold out quite quickly, some types of food were almost out of stock. Today, the food shelves are full, and the seafood is also fresh" - Ms. Nguyen Thanh Loan (living in District 3) said.
Today, supermarket chains such as MM Mega Market, Lotte... also resumed operations. Some store chains such as Family Mart, GS25, Kingfood Mart... operate throughout Tet.
At traditional markets in the city such as Ba Chieu market, Thi Nghe market (Binh Thanh district), Nguyen Tri Phuong market (District 10)... many small traders also focus on selling essential food items.
In general, food prices have not increased much compared to normal days, green vegetables, fresh flowers, and fruits have a price difference of 10,000-15,000 VND/kg.
