Over the past year, the Grassroots Trade Unions (GCUs) of Thai Binh Civil Servants' Trade Union have participated effectively in councils of agencies and units to protect the legitimate rights and interests of union members and civil servants.
Relevant policies were seriously implemented, of which 257 union members received salary increases; 67 union members were promoted and appointed to leadership and management positions; 100 union members were transferred to other ranks.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin, Thai Binh Civil Servants' Union visited and presented gifts to 92 union members in difficult circumstances, whose children were infected with Agent Orange, or who were disabled, with a total amount of 46 million VND and 3 units on duty during Tet with a total amount of 1.5 million VND.
During Workers' Month 2024, the Provincial Civil Servants' Union visited and presented gifts to encourage 55 civil servants, public employees, and workers in difficult circumstances and suffering from occupational diseases with a total amount of 32.5 million VND. The grassroots trade unions visited, encouraged, and provided subsidies to over 90 union members in difficult circumstances...
In addition, social and charitable activities were well implemented by trade unions at all levels in coordination with agencies and organizations such as: Mobilizing union members, civil servants, and employees to contribute to the "Trade Union Shelter" Fund with an amount of over 115 million VND; supporting flood victims with an amount of over 370 million VND; supporting the "Supporting Children to School" program with an amount of 195 million VND; supporting the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses launched by the Government with an amount of over 2.3 billion VND.
Besides, the emulation movements "Good workers - Creative workers" associated with the campaign to build "Loyal, responsible, honest, creative" civil servants and public employees, the movement "Building a cultural agency, 8-hour working day, quality, efficiency" are always carried out effectively.
In 2024, union members and civil servants registered and implemented 12 provincial-level science and technology topics, over 150 scientific topics, scientific products, experience initiatives, and creative solutions at the ministerial, industry, and school levels.
On the occasion of the new school year 2024-2025, the Provincial Civil Servants' Union organized a ceremony to honor and reward 139 excellent students at the national and provincial levels, and students who overcame difficulties to study well, who are children of civil servants and public employees, with a total amount of over 56 million VND. The grassroots unions organized a ceremony to honor and reward 3,491 excellent students at all levels and students who overcame difficulties to study well, with a total amount of over 800 million VND.
With the results achieved, at the conference, 12 individuals received medals for the cause of building trade union organizations of the General Confederation; 13 groups and 28 individuals received awards from the trade union organization.
