On the afternoon of October 26, at Hung Ha Garment Company Limited (Viet Yen village, Diep Nong commune, Hung Ha district, Thai Binh province), the Thai Binh Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) coordinated with the representative of the sponsor, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) to organize a scholarship award ceremony from the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund (XHTT) for children of workers and employees in especially difficult circumstances of the company.
Accordingly, 30 students who are children of workers and laborers were awarded 30 scholarships by the organizing committee, each worth 1 million VND in cash.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Pham Thi Thang - Vice President of Thai Binh Provincial Labor Federation kindly visited and encouraged the students who are children of workers with especially difficult circumstances who received scholarships from the Golden Heart Social Security Fund; at the same time, she hoped that the children would try harder to be good, study well, and constantly strive to become useful people for society, in response to the gratitude for giving birth, raising, and the daily, hourly hardships of their parents.
After the scholarship awarding ceremony, the Hung Ha District Labor Federation coordinated with the leadership and grassroots union of Hung Ha Garment Company Limited to organize a talk on "Marriage Love - Family Happiness - Child Care in the Integration Era" for more than 700 out of nearly 900 union members and workers of the company in 3 workshops.
The talk was presented by speaker Ths.Bs Mai Xuan Phuong - Former Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Communication of the Directorate of Population (Ministry of Health).
According to Mr. Tran Van Quat - Party Cell Secretary, Chairman of Hung Ha Garment Company Limited, the company currently has 3 main production workshops with nearly 900 workers.
Of which, female union members and workers account for about 75%, the number of married male and female workers is about 60%, the rate of couples who are husband and wife working together in the company accounts for about 30%.
"On behalf of the company's management board, staff and workers, I would like to express my deep gratitude to the Golden Heart Social Fund and trade unions at all levels, and sponsors for caring, sharing and encouraging the children of workers in difficult circumstances of the company. We always keep in mind that only when the family is happy and the children are well-behaved can the business develop and the village and homeland become prosperous and strong.
Therefore, besides trying to develop production to bring stable income to workers and take care of their lives, we pay special attention to their spiritual life, sharing and being close to workers so that the children can always have happiness and family harmony," said Mr. Quat.
