On January 19, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation said that Annora Vietnam Footwear Co., Ltd. is one of the pioneers in applying social networks, digital platforms in policy and legal communication and reproductive health for workers, contributing to improving the quality of human resources at the enterprise.
In recent years, along with socio-economic development, the workforce in Thanh Hoa, especially female workers in the garment and footwear industries, has been constantly increasing. The majority of workers are under 35 years old, originating from rural areas, living conditions are still difficult, limited in legal knowledge as well as skills in taking care of and protecting reproductive health.
At Annora Vietnam Footwear Co., Ltd. - a business with a large number of workers in the province with more than 18,000 female workers, accounting for about 88% of the total number of workers, the grassroots trade union has proactively innovated propaganda methods. Zalo groups and fan pages on Facebook were established to share information about labor laws, regimes, policies and reproductive health knowledge.
The company's Trade Union coordinates with the health department to build short videos and electronic propaganda materials; organize live broadcasts at the restaurant during lunch breaks; deploy online consultations and online seminars for workers to easily access information.
In addition, the company's Trade Union established the "Pregnant women and raising young children" Club, organized many thematic meetings on preventing and combating domestic violence and sexual harassment in the workplace; organized free reproductive health check-ups and consultations for thousands of female workers. The work of inspecting and supervising the implementation of regimes and policies for female workers has also been strengthened.
According to the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation, in the context of workers increasingly using social networks and digital platforms, innovating communication work towards digitalization is an effective solution, contributing to bringing health care policies and knowledge closer to workers, meeting the requirements of sustainable development of businesses and localities.
