Ms. Pham Thi Binh (from Dien Chau) has been working as a worker at Tokyo Micro Vietnam Co., Ltd. for nearly 18 years. She and her husband have 3 children. If the whole family takes the bus, it will cost about 1.6 million VND, while Ms. Binh's income is only about 8 million VND, and her husband's income is unstable...
Speaking at the farewell ceremony for workers, Mr. Pham Quang Thanh - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Hanoi City Confederation of Labor said that on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of At Ty, in order to take care of and practically support the material and spiritual life of union members and workers; with the motto of not letting any union member or worker go without Tet. The Hanoi Confederation of Labor has supported 48 thousand workers in difficult circumstances, with a total amount of over 42 billion VND. Thereby creating peace of mind, encouraging and motivating workers to stick with the enterprise, with the Trade Union organization; working with higher productivity and better quality.
The City Labor Federation has supported 5,000 cash bus tickets for workers with a total amount of 1.77 billion VND; supported vehicles to bring 1,200 workers of the Industrial and Export Processing Zones Trade Union to their hometowns to celebrate Tet with their families, with destinations being Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh and some northern provinces. The Labor Federations of districts, towns, and industry unions have also implemented and organized programs to support vehicles and train tickets to bring disadvantaged workers in the area back to their hometowns to celebrate Tet with their families.
This is the 17th consecutive year that the City's Trade Union at all levels has organized this activity, thereby creating a positive effect, mobilizing and calling on businesses to join hands with the Trade Union to take care of union members and workers.
