On October 12, the Trade Union - Women's Union of Ngoc Khanh Ward, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi organized a parade of Ao Dai with the theme "Ngoc Khanh Women: Solidarity - Creativity - Development" with the participation of 500 women's union members and union members at grassroots unions in the ward.
At the parade, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan Huong - President of the Women's Union of Ngoc Khanh Ward said that through many changes in society and the times, the ao dai has always been a beautiful symbol of national culture and the pride of the Vietnamese people.
Not limited to performing on stage, organizing ao dai parades has a very important meaning to be proud of the beauty of ao dai.
"During the parade, 500 women's union members and union members in the ward wore colorful ao dai, creating a bustling atmosphere to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day," Ms. Huong added.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich (Ngoc Khanh ward, Ba Dinh) said that the Ao Dai performance to celebrate the Capital Liberation Day created an exciting and enthusiastic spirit among the people, especially introducing the image of the Vietnamese Ao Dai to tourists from near and far.
"Through this practical activity, we hope that young people will learn more about the meaning and unique features of traditional ao dai. Wearing ao dai is a way to preserve the precious quintessence of the nation," Ms. Bich added.
Mr. Do Cong Hai - Chairman of the Trade Union of Ngoc Khanh Ward, Ba Dinh District said that the Ao Dai parade for female members and Trade Union members in the ward is one of the activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital, and pilot the walking street around Ngoc Khanh Lake.
According to Mr. Hai, the activity is an opportunity for union members to have fun and relax after a week of work. It is also an opportunity for women to freely show off their favorite ao dai.
"At the same time, through the parade, we also send a message to cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers, officials, members, women, people and tourists about preserving, conserving and promoting the traditional value of the Vietnamese national ao dai," Mr. Hai added.
At the end of the parade, the organizers commended and rewarded many units with excellent performances.
