The Mekong Delta Press Bida Award is held to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1975 - June 21, 2025), thereby strengthening solidarity, exchange and sharing of the press in the Mekong Delta region after a year of hard work on the information front.

According to the Organizing Committee, this year's tournament brings together nearly 100 players who are journalists, reporters, editors, collaborators from press agencies operating in the Mekong Delta region, along with sponsoring units to compete based on the spirit of solidarity and professional sports.
The free Carom doubles competition format, with random draw between two press agencies, creates fairness, surprise and excitement for each match.


The Bida Press Award is not only a sports playground, but also an opportunity for journalists, reporters, editors and those working in the media field to exchange, connect and strengthen solidarity after stressful working hours. This is also a meeting place between press agencies, helping to strengthen relationships, creating conditions for sharing professional experiences and supporting each other in work.


At the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Minh Tuan - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City - sent his congratulations to the athletes on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.
The Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City stated that the Mekong Delta Press Bida Award is a meaningful sporting activity to celebrate Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day on June 21, while strengthening solidarity and exchange between press and media units in the area.
This tournament is not only an opportunity for brothers and sisters in the press to express their passion for sports, but also a place where everyone shares laughter and joy after stressful working hours.

The prize structure of the Tournament includes: First Prize (Cup + Gold Medal + bonus of 10 million VND + gift); Second Prize (Silver Medal + bonus of 5 million VND + gift); Third Prize (Conser Medal + bonus of 3 million VND + gift); Fourth Prize (bonus of 2 million VND + gift) and 5 secondary prizes.
