The tournament is organized to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2026), the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Vietnamese Physical Education and Sports (March 27, 1946 - March 27, 2026), in response to Youth Month 2026 and towards the 70th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Youth Federation (LHTN) (October 15, 1956 - October 15, 2026).
This is also a specific activity to implement the "I love my Fatherland" movement, contributing to promoting the spirit of physical training and strengthening connection among young people.
The tournament is directed by the Central Vietnam Youth Federation, Thanh Giong Knowledge Portal in coordination with Game Change Joint Stock Company. With a large scale, the tournament gathers 512 teams, competing in a 6-man football format, applying the rules of WMF - World Mini Football Federation.
Speaking at the opening ceremony on March 28, representatives of the organizing committee emphasized that the tournament is a healthy and useful sports playground, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere among young people.
Through this activity, the physical education and sports movement continues to be maintained and developed, while contributing to strengthening solidarity and gathering youth through clubs, teams, and groups according to interests.

Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Tuong Lam - Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Federation; Mr. Nguyen Kim Quy - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, Standing Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Federation; along with representatives of relevant units and teams participating in the qualifying round.

According to the plan, the qualifying matches will take place in 2 days, March 28 and 29, 2026 at 8 stadium clusters, competing in a knockout format, each cluster selecting 1 excellent team to enter the final round.
The final round and closing ceremony are expected to be held on April 25, 2026 at the Hoang Liet ward stadium complex. 8 teams that pass the qualifying round will be divided into 2 groups, competing to determine the highest titles of the tournament.
The Organizing Committee said that the prize structure includes: The champion team receives a cup, 20 million VND, a set of gold medals and a certificate of merit; the second prize receives 10 million VND, a set of silver medals and a certificate of merit; the third prize receives 5 million VND, a set of bronze medals and a certificate of merit. In addition, the sub-prizes are worth 1 million VND each with a commemorative medal.
With its scale and methodical preparation, the Vietnam Youth Football Tournament - Asina Cup 2026 is expected to create a positive impression in the youth sports movement, and at the same time contribute to spreading the spirit of training, solidarity and dedication in the community.
