Hanoi - The final match and award ceremony of the 2025 Doc Lap Cup football tournament took place on the evening of August 17, at Gamuda Khuyen Luong football field (Hoang Mai ward).
The two teams entering the Final match are the Lao Dong Newspaper team (red shirt) and the Voice of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper (VOV) team. The Lao Dong Newspaper team won the right to enter the final after defeating the Tien Phong Newspaper team in the semi-finals with 12 penalty shots (the two teams drew 1 - 1 in the two main quarters). Meanwhile, VOV team beat Vietnam Law Newspaper team with a score of 2 - 0 in the remaining semi-final match.The wheelchair at 6pm. Right after the opening whistle, the VOV team stepped up to attack, forcing the Lao Dong Newspaper team to the bottom third of the field.The red shirt team struggled to defend against the attacks of the VOV team.The great pressure of the VOV team caused Lao Dong's defense to make mistakes, they conceded 2 goals in just the first 10 minutes, something that rarely happened before.The Lao Dong team then rushed forward to find an equalizer. This is a worthy result as they have shown their superior strength since the beginning of the tournament. The VOV team also won 2 individual awards, "Golden Gloves" and "Golden Setter". The two third prize teams are Tien Phong Newspaper and Vietnam Law Newspaper.The 5G/Digilife Company football team won the Fair Play award. The home team is the team with the fewest free cards and leaves a beautiful image with a spirit of dedication and competition, not giving up. Representative of the Lao Dong Newspaper team (blue shirt) was invited to present this meaningful award to the representative of the home team - 5G/Digilife Company.Closing the journey of 5 memorable matches of the Lao Dong Newspaper team in the Doc Lap Cup. This is the second final match in 3 months they have participated in. Tuan Anh, Tung Giang, Tat Thao, Duc Thien, Van Duc (goalkeeper), Le Vinh, Van Duc (defender), Viet Thang, Thai Hoang and the team are increasingly attached and understand each other better.
The 2025 football tournament of the Golden Lap Cup will be organized by 5G Multimedia Technology and Communications Joint Stock Company and Digital Life Multimedia Communications Joint Stock Company (Digilife) on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
