VBAS 2026 marks a strong step forward in the school sports movement when it is organized methodically according to the 3x3 format, strictly complying with the current competition rules of the World Basketball Federation (FIBA 3x3).
This year's tournament gathers outstanding names from leading training institutions such as: National Economics University, Foreign Trade University, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Academy of Finance, Academy of Banking and the host team Phenikaa University. In each male and female category, 12 teams are divided into 4 groups, playing in a single round-robin format to select the best representatives to enter the knockout round.
The event is the result of strategic cooperation efforts between the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association, the Vietnam Student Support and Development Center, Grab Vietnam and Vietnam Basketball Joint Stock Company (VBA). In which, the Central Committee of the Student Association plays a role in orienting and connecting the movement network.
In terms of expertise, VBA brings strict standards of a professional tournament, from operation, standardizing the competition space to refereeing work.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, the group stage matches on September 3rd took place at a rapid pace and with high professional quality. Fierce matches such as the convincing victory on October 22nd of Phenikaa University men against Public Health, or the National Economics women's victory over the Academy of Finance with a close score of 13-11, really exploded the stadium.
On September 4, VBAS 2026 will enter the most intense phase with quarter-final, semi-final and final matches.
