VCBC 2025-2026 is a student basketball tournament co-organized by New Sports Joint Stock Company and the Vietnam Student Support and Development Center (VSDS). After the Northern leg closed in April 2026 with the championship belonging to W. FTU (Foreign Trade University) in the women's category and UTC (University of Transport) in the men's category, the Southern region also identified the first champion when W. UEH (Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics) was crowned after a 2-0 victory over W. UFM (University of Finance - Marketing) in the women's final series, taking place on the evening of June 5.
Not possessing a single star as the center, W. UEH conquered the championship with collective strength, squad depth and uniform operating system. Right from the knockout round, the UEH women's team showed superiority thanks to high-pressure defense, state transition speed and points from many different positions.
Entering the final against W. UFM - the team that created a big surprise when eliminating W. RMIT (RMIT University) with a 2-0 victory in the semi-finals - W. UEH continued to show his bravery. In Game 1, they defeated their opponent with a score of 49-41. In Game 2, although W. UFM at one point narrowed the gap from 12 points to only 4 points, W. UEH still maintained his composure to close the match with a 38-29 victory, completing the final series with a score of 2-0.
While the women's content has determined the champion, the focus of VCBC South is currently focused on the men's final. After RMIT (RMIT University) won Game 1 with a score of 70-55, TDTU (Ton Duc Thang University) responded strongly with a 75-69 victory in Game 2 to bring the series back to a 1-1 balance. This means that the men's championship will only be decided after the third match.
The decisive final of the men's event will take place at 6:00 PM on June 7, at GOAT Town Sports Complex (Road No. 4, An Phu An Khanh Urban Area, An Khanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).
