The 2026 National Excellent Archer Championship takes place from the end of March to April 8 in Quang Ninh, gathering 198 athletes from 12 provinces, cities, and sectors across the country to compete.
After days of exciting competition in individual, doubles and team events with many different distances, the Vinh Long delegation competed impressively, winning a total of 10 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 10 bronze medals, thereby ranking second overall.
Leading the tournament is Hanoi with 13 gold medals, 16 silver medals and 11 bronze medals; Ho Chi Minh City ranked third with 6 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 8 bronze medals won.
The athletes who brought gold medals to the Vinh Long delegation include: Nguyen Duy (2 gold medals in men's recurve and all-around recurve); Dang Thi Kim Ngan (2 gold medals in women's recurve and all-around recurve); Le Quoc Phong (2 gold medals in men's recurve, 70m and 90m distances).
In addition, the gold medals also belonged to men's recurve team (Nguyen Duy, Quoc Phong, Tan Hung, Phuc Khang); men's recurve team (Nguyen Day, Thanh Tung, Quang Lam, Huu Tri); women's recurve team (Thanh Thao, Yen Nhi, Kim Ngan, A Thi) and athlete Nguyen Thi Thanh Thao in the women's individual event.
