On the morning of May 11, Lao Cai Ward Police coordinated with Nguyen Du Elementary School (Lao Cai ward, Lao Cai province) to organize propaganda on drug prevention and drowning prevention for more than 1,000 teachers and students in the area.
At the propaganda session, students were disseminated knowledge on recognizing and preventing drugs, e-cigarettes and dangerous stimulants; and at the same time, they were guided on handling skills when detecting acts related to drugs.
In addition, the police force also propagates measures to prevent drowning, safety skills when playing near ponds, lakes, rivers, streams; guides how to self-rescue and calls for help when encountering incidents underwater.
The activity contributes to raising awareness and self-protection skills for students, while strengthening the work of preventing social evils and injuries in schools, especially during the upcoming summer vacation.
In the coming time, Lao Cai Ward Police will continue to coordinate with schools in the area to promote legal propaganda, life skills education, and build a safe and healthy school environment for students.
