On May 30, the School of Management and Business (HSB), Vietnam National University, Hanoi successfully organized the Final Round of the "HSB Innovative Startup - Innovation Business Ignition 2026" Contest, an annual academic and practical playground to promote the spirit of innovation, entrepreneurship and leadership development for students in the context of the digital economy and global integration.
The event is one of the outstanding activities in HSB's interdisciplinary training development strategy, closely linking theory with business practice, and realizing the educational philosophy "study to establish yourself, start a career and start a business" that the school has persistently pursued for more than three decades of formation and development.
Closely following the spirit of innovation mentioned in Resolutions No. 57-NQ/TW, 68-NQ/TW, 71-NQ/TW and 72-NQ/TW of the Politburo, this year's contest aims for solutions with high practical value, contributing to sustainable development and solving social problems. After many rounds of evaluation and selection, the 5 most outstanding projects have entered the final round:
ExAS – Building data for agricultural carbon credits.
WeMom – Technology platform supporting reproductive health care for women.
EdSkill – Skills exchange platform for students.
Career Lab Hub – Pre-specialized professional experiment program.
EcoNetwork – ESG capacity building and training platform for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
In the end, WeMom won the First Prize, ExAS won the Second Prize. Two Third Prizes belonged to EcoNetwork and EdSkill, while Career Lab Hub received Consolation Prizes.
The projects focus on areas with strong development potential such as digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI), healthcare, education, trade – services, environment and sustainable development. Many ideas are highly appreciated for their practical applicability, commercialization ability and positive impact on the community.
Speaking at the program, Prof. Dr. Hoang Dinh Phi - Rector of the School of Management and Business - emphasized: Innovative startups today are not only a global trend but have become one of the important driving forces in the national development strategy. This is the content emphasized in many guidelines and resolutions of the Party on education and training innovation, science and technology development, digital transformation, business development and private economy. These factors will make an important contribution to Vietnam's sustainable economic growth goals in the coming period.
With that spirit, HSB determines that training should not only stop at imparting knowledge but must create an environment for students to experience, criticize, create and apply knowledge to practice. Today's competition is a bridge between inter-disciplinary knowledge, startups, businesses and the community for the young generation".
The success of the "HSB Creative Startup - Innovation Business Ignition 2026" competition continues to affirm the learning ability, innovative thinking, youthful bravery and aspiration to contribute of HSB students. Many projects from previous seasons have received funding from businesses, attracted investment capital and gradually commercialized successfully, demonstrating the effectiveness of the training model linking academia and practice.
