On May 22, information from Lao Cai Provincial Police said that the police force of Lao Chai and Tram Tau communes are simultaneously implementing many measures to implement the goal of building communes and wards without drugs according to the direction of the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee and Provincial Police.
In Lao Chai commune, the Commune Police coordinated with strengthened task forces of the Provincial Police to review the area and manage cases with signs related to drugs, especially those who are frequently absent from the locality.

On May 20, functional forces inspected 6 cases suspected of illegal drug use, detecting 3 cases testing positive for drugs. The commune police have prepared dossiers for handling and completed procedures to send the subjects to compulsory detoxification according to regulations.
According to functional forces, strengthening drug inspection and rapid testing helps promptly detect and manage addicts, limiting the risk of crime and social evils.
In Tram Tau commune, the Commune Police proactively advised the local government to promote propaganda and mobilize people to participate in drug prevention and control, and denounce violations of the law.

Also on May 20, Tram Tau Commune Police coordinated with the strengthened task force of the Provincial Police to organize coercion and take 4 subjects to the Lao Cai Provincial Drug Rehabilitation Center No. 1.
Lao Cai Provincial Police believes that drugs are still a major threat to social life, causing the emergence of many types of crimes and directly affecting security and order at the grassroots level.
Functional forces recommend that people raise awareness of law compliance, not use drugs, and actively detect and denounce acts of buying, selling, storing, and illegally using drugs to contribute to building a safe and healthy area.
