More confident when being given a health insurance card
Ms. T.T.H.V, a resident of Binh Tien Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, said that she is 47 years old and works as a seamstress at home, so her income is unstable and life is difficult. In 2024, she suffered from an illness and had to spend more than 10 million VND to treat her, making her life even more difficult.
She was included in the list of free health insurance cards issued by the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union. Being given a health insurance card helps me feel more secure, not having to worry about spending a lot of money when I am sick, Ms. T.T.H.V shared.
Similarly, Ms. T.T.H.L, a resident of Tan Binh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, said that she and her husband were separated, and she raised her three young children. She works as a grab driver, earning about 10 million VND per month for her family of 4. Therefore, she does not dare to buy health insurance despite her work being exposed to rain and sun, with the risk of traffic accidents.
Having a health insurance card will be very beneficial for sickness or accidents, but due to difficult circumstances, I do not dare to buy it. Giving a free health insurance card is a great thing, said Ms. T.T.H.L.
