On the launch day, the Charity Knowledge Bookcase introduced 6 book titles revolving around the fields of management, knowledge, human development and social activities, aiming to build a professional, humane and sustainable charity community.
Prominent among them is the collection of essays "Going to Love - A Journey that cannot stand aside" by journalist Nguyen Duc Lien - Honorary Chairman of the "Start from the Heart" Fund. The work is seen as a diary recording volunteer trips throughout many years, where the author tells about human fates, losses and even moments when the boundary between life and death becomes more fragile than ever.
Through the bookshelf, Kim Oanh Group and Tu Tam Start Fund wish to accompany individuals and organizations for the community, providing perspectives, experiences and knowledge foundations so that each charity activity not only originates from the heart but is also led by understanding and responsibility.
According to Ms. Dang Thi Kim Oanh - Chairwoman of the Board of Directors cum General Director of Kim Oanh Group, for many years, Kim Oanh Group has persistently built a reading culture and learning spirit as a core value in the business. From the awareness that knowledge not only helps personal development but also nurtures community responsibility, the "Volunteer Knowledge" bookshelf was formed to accompany individuals and organizations who are dedicated to society.
In the journey of serving the community, kindness alone is sometimes not enough. Philanthropists also need methods, skills, sustainable thinking and understanding so that the values given touch the right needs, the right circumstances and create long-term impacts" - Ms. Oanh shared.
Not only stopping at the value of knowledge, the Charity Knowledge Bookcase also carries a special humanistic meaning when all revenue from book publishing will be contributed to the Self-Reliance Scholarship for Me operated by the Start-up Fund to continue supporting orphans in difficult circumstances, orphans who are children of humanitarian organ donors.
