Few people know that, in addition to his role as a singer, Mai Tuan is currently a math teacher. For many years, he has pursued two jobs in parallel: teaching classes and performing music. Mai Tuan is mainly associated with lyrical and folk music, has released several albums and participated in many community music programs and tea rooms.
Sharing about his composing fate, Mai Tuan said that he used to think that to write music, he had to go through specialized training. However, a friend who is a musician encouraged him that if he has the ability to write lyrics, create melodies and complete works independently, without copying lyrics or melodies, he can still try his hand.
I have listened to and sung many lyrical and youth music songs for many years. The melody almost always exists in my head. When I started writing, I realized that forming a complete song is not simple, but not too far away if you are really serious," he shared.
Although he is a math teacher, Mai Tuan said that he has a good background in language. Since high school, he has participated in the excellent Literature student team, regularly writing introductory lyrics and recital poems for music performances. Therefore, the songwriting part is not too difficult, the biggest challenge for him is building a melody structure suitable for pop music.
Welcoming Spring Here" has bright, youthful colors, different from Mai Tuan's previous lyrical style. After completing the recording, he sent it to some colleagues to listen to and received positive feedback. From then on, the male singer decided to make the MV as a personal milestone.
