In order to expand the utilities for people, the Ministry of Construction is coordinating to deploy toll collection service without stopping at stations, parking spots and other public spaces. At the same time, in order to ensure the overall and synchronization of the whole infrastructure network, the Ministry of Construction directed the construction of the overall architecture for the smart transport system, which includes connecting and sharing data with the urban traffic management and administration system.
The Ministry has also assigned investors to research and synchronously deploy smart transportation solutions on expressways managed by the Ministry, including: traffic monitoring and control systems, non-stop electronic toll collection and vehicle weight inspection. These items are expected to be completed in sync with the expressways by the end of 2025.
With the goal of improving management capacity and efficiency in exploiting traffic routes, the Ministry of Construction has issued an action plan to apply science and technology, especially digital technology such as artificial intelligence (AI), Big Data, cloud computing (Cloud Computing), Internet of Things (IoT) ... to the field of construction, transportation, and at the same time, piloting the development of urban areas and smart transportation.
