Can Tho - The 7th Children's Day for Environmental Protection, 2026 in Cai Khe ward, collected more than 4 tons of garbage.

On May 8, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Cai Khe Ward (Can Tho City) said that the unit had coordinated with the Ward Team Council and the Vo Truong Toan Primary School Team to successfully organize the 7th Children's Day for Environmental Protection, 2026. The festival attracted the participation of more than 2,000 children and students in the area.

This is an activity to celebrate the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2026) and the 85th anniversary of the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh Pioneer Youth Team (May 15, 1941 – May 15, 2026).

Providing information at the program, Mr. Lai Phuoc Truong Thanh - Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Cai Khe ward - emphasized that the festival is a useful playground for children to raise awareness and promote the spirit of responsibility for the environment.

In the coming time, the Youth Union - Team organization of the ward determines to continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, create many useful and healthy playgrounds for children; at the same time, promote environmental awareness education, contributing to forming a green and friendly lifestyle for young generations.

At the festival, many meaningful activities took place, notably the program "Exchanging recyclable waste and scrap for gifts", contributing to raising environmental awareness, building the habit of sorting waste and spreading a green lifestyle among children. Through this, the Organizing Committee collected more than 4 tons of recyclable waste and scrap.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee presented 20 gifts to students in difficult circumstances, each worth 400,000 VND, to encourage and boost their spirit to rise up in their studies and life. In addition, more than 4,000 gifts sponsored by strong forces have been given to children.
