The program was organized by Davipharm Pharmaceutical Company - a member of Adamed Group (Poland) in collaboration with the hospital, the Center for Medical Improvement Research (CHIR) and Link Garment Media Company.
The activity is part of the "Vietnam Health Care" campaign accompanied by Davipharm with the Ministry of Health, aiming to detect early disease risks, form a habit of proactively preventing diseases and reducing the long-term burden of disease for the community.
In recent years, the campaign has reached more than 9.5 million people through communication and screening activities, contributing to raising awareness of nutrition, physical exercise, weight control, limiting alcohol and tobacco.
At Hoc Mon Regional General Hospital, the program focuses on the group over 35 years old - subjects at significantly increased risk of diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, dyslipidemia and gout. People participating are clinically examined, blood pressure measured, blood sugar and blood lipid tests, risk factors assessed and personal health records established. After screening, doctors directly advise on appropriate nutrition, exercise, and activities and guide them to see a specialist when detecting abnormalities.
According to the representative of Hoc Mon Regional General Hospital, to make it easier for people to access the program, the hospital has closely coordinated with local authorities, departments and volunteer teams to deploy communication, support registration, examination and testing, especially for those in difficult cases.
According to the Ministry of Health, up to 84% of deaths in Vietnam are related to non-communicable diseases. In that context, free, easy-to-reach screening programs like at Hoc Mon are considered a practical solution for the people.
