The "Bright Tomorrow" Pickleball Tournament Open Cup 2025 raised 290 million VND, adding hope and determination to cancer patients across the country.

On November 9, the Cancer Patient Support Fund - Bright Tomorrow in collaboration with K Hospital and DB Investment and Development Company Limited organized the "Bright Tomorrow" Pickleball Tournament Open Cup 2025. This is a charity sports event organized for the first time to raise funds to support cancer patients in difficult circumstances.

The tournament took place enthusiastically with 09 competition events including: men's doubles, women's doubles, mixed doubles leading the medical industry; age groups over 45 and under 45, competing in 28 sets of medals at 3 Pickleball court clusters in Ecopark urban area.

Prof. Dr. Tran Van Thuan, Deputy Minister of Health, said that with the desire to spread the spirit of sportsmanship, improve public health and join hands to support cancer patients, this sports tournament has become an annual activity - a place for sports associated with humanity and sharing.

Not only a healthy sports playground, the tournament also contributes to connecting health care teams, businesses and communities in the spirit of "Health for the community - Hope for the sick".

The special highlight of this year's tournament is the full participation fee and the support of the units that have contributed nearly 290 million VND to the Bright Tomorrow Fund. This money will be used to support cancer patients across the country - those who are fighting the disease every day, bringing hope and determination to overcome difficulties.

Through this meaningful activity, the Bright Tomorrow Fund hopes to open a new direction in fundraising work - where sports become a bridge of love and sharing, spreading the spirit of healthy living, beautiful living and humanity in society.

The tournament ended with smiles, medals and above all, the belief in a brighter tomorrow for the "cancer warriors" - people who are determined to continue their determined journey.

The number of cancer cases in Vietnam has doubled after a decade

The World Health Organization (WHO) recorded 20 million new cancer cases and 9.7 million deaths each year. In Vietnam, the number of cancer cases has nearly doubled in more than a decade, from 92,000 cases in 2010 to more than 180,000 cases, of which a large proportion of patients are detected at a late stage, so treatment effectiveness is reduced and medical costs are increased.
