On June 18, at the headquarters of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, Khanh Hoa Department of Health and Hanoi Medical University Hospital held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding on professional support and cooperation in health development for the period 2026 - 2029.
At the signing ceremony, leaders of Khanh Hoa Department of Health said that currently, the whole province has 37 public health units, 15 public hospitals, 7 private hospitals and a widespread network of medical examination and treatment. The health sector has more than 2,200 personnel, reaching a ratio of 12 doctors/10,000 people.

In the coming period, the local health sector sets a goal to develop in a modern, smart direction, meeting the increasing healthcare needs of the people.
Representatives of Hanoi Medical University Hospital also introduced outstanding areas in training, scientific research, technology transfer and high-quality medical examination and treatment.
With practical needs and cooperation potential, the two units agreed to implement many key contents. Accordingly, Hanoi Medical University Hospital will support the Khanh Hoa health sector in training and developing high-quality human resources.
At the same time, transferring new techniques, specialized techniques; organizing consultations, remote medical examination and treatment; coordinating scientific research, technology application, digital transformation and organizing specialized conferences and seminars.

On the Khanh Hoa side, the health sector will ensure conditions on human resources, facilities, equipment and funding to effectively implement the signed cooperation contents.
The memorandum of understanding is valid for 3 years, from 2026-2029. This is considered an important milestone in the process of improving the capacity of the province's health system, towards the goal of building Khanh Hoa into a high-quality health center of the South Central Coast and Central Highlands regions.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ha - Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee - emphasized that the province is aiming to become a centrally-run city. Therefore, health care for people and tourists is an important task that needs to be prioritized for investment.
According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ha, the province's team of specialized doctors is still lacking in some areas.
Cooperation with Hanoi Medical University Hospital will create conditions to improve the professional qualifications of the local medical team. Thereby, improving the quality of medical examination and treatment and helping people access high-quality medical services right in the locality.
