On July 21, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province held a meeting with departments, branches and localities to assess the implementation of the Khanh Hoa Provincial General Hospital Construction Project to become a Hospital in the South Central Coast region.
The project has been approved by the Provincial People's Council for investment with a total investment of VND4,450 billion from the provincial budget.
The project has a total construction area of 11.2 hectares in Nam Nha Trang ward, expected to be implemented in the period of 2025 - 2030.
According to the plan, the project is divided into 2 component projects: site clearance and construction of Khanh Hoa General Hospital into a regional hospital.
In particular, the architectural plan is expected to be approved in July 2025; the investment project will be approved in February 2026; construction will begin in June 2026 and be completed by the end of 2029.
Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Tran Quoc Nam requested relevant agencies, units and localities to focus on accelerating site clearance progress, ensuring the project is implemented on schedule and according to the set plan.
He also noted that the implementation process must comply with correct procedures, strictness and transparency; select a qualified consulting unit; establish a steering group on site clearance to speed up progress.
In addition, the head of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee requested the health sector to soon develop a training project and policies to attract high-quality human resources and medical experts to work at the South Central Coast Regional Hospital when the project is completed.
