On June 1, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province coordinated with the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports, Billiards & Snooker Federation to organize the opening ceremony of the 2025 National Billiards & Snooker Championship Final Round.
After the opening ceremony, the athletes will compete in the men's singles in the formats of Carom 1Trip, Carom 3Trip, Pool 9-ball, Pool 10-ball, Snooker and English Billiard. In which, Tran Quyet Chien met Duong Thanh Tam (with the Ho Chi Minh City team) in the second match.
In the first 10 turns, the competition for points between the two players was quite fierce. Tran Quyet Chien had many turns and could not score, causing Duong Thanh Tam to take the lead with a score of 11-9.
After that, Tran Quyet Chien continuously scored in 7 consecutive turns (including 2 turns with 5 points), while Duong Thanh Tam missed many turns, leading to Tran Quyet Chien's score far surpassing his opponent's 27-15.
The match ended in Tran Quyet Chien's 21st turn, with a score of 30-18 away from Duong Thanh Tam. Tran Quyet Chien's second match in the 3-cushion Carom event is scheduled to take place at 10:30 on June 2, with another opponent also from Ho Chi Minh City.
