This is the 2nd year the project "Training in e-commerce business of traditional conical hat products for women in Ngoc Hoi commune" has been implemented in a craft village with a history of nearly 180 years - a village recognized by the Hanoi People's Committee as a Traditional Craft Village in 2020. Currently, more than 70% of households still maintain the conical hat making profession, contributing to preserving culture and creating local livelihoods.
Through the project, Coca-Cola Vietnam aims to build a model combining preserving traditional crafts with e-commerce applications, helping people more effectively exploit the economic potential of local handicrafts.
Mr. Bui Khanh Nguyen - Deputy General Director of External Relations, Communications and Sustainable Development, Coca-Cola Vietnam Company said that this year, the project focuses on creating practical results through combining preserving traditional crafts, developing digital skills and building craft village brands. At the same time, the program supports improving product value, building digital image to expand opportunities to reach customers and develop experiential tourism.
The project takes place from June to August 2026. After selecting 10 artisans and 10 pioneering young people, the students will participate in a 6-week in-depth training course guided by experts from the Vietnam E-Commerce Association (VECOM) and Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
The training content includes e-commerce, digital marketing, livestream sales, AI application in content creation and enhancing the aesthetic value of conical hat products. Young participants will receive financial support, and artisans will be awarded a set of high-class acrylic colors to serve product creation activities.
The project also supports the construction of the Facebook page "Vinh Thinh Conical Hat Craft Village" to promote the image of the craft village and products in the digital environment.
The program is expected to close at the end of August 2026, with a closing ceremony and a livestream sales session with the participation of 10 pioneering young people with KOL "Anh Tay Oi".
