According to initial information, at about 6:40 am on January 29, during patrol and control in the Hoang Hoa Tham street area (Nha Trang ward), functional forces discovered a young man driving a motorbike with license plate 79H1-105.85 showing suspicious signs.
The task force monitored and discovered the subject stopping the car in front of house number 109 Yersin street (Tay Nha Trang ward) to meet another young man showing signs of illegal drug trafficking.
Conducting an inspection, functional forces identified the drug seller as Ho Tuan Anh (born 1972, residing at 299 Thong Nhat, Tay Nha Trang ward) and the buyer as Phan Trong Nghia (born 1981, residing at 139/25 Nguyen Thai Hoc, Nha Trang ward).
At the time of inspection, Phan Trong Nghia handed over 1 nylon bag containing 4 pieces of plastic pipes, inside which were powder and white crystals.
Nghia confessed that these were heroin and crystal meth drugs just bought from Ho Tuan Anh for 400,000 VND for use.
Working at the headquarters of Tay Nha Trang Ward Police, Ho Tuan Anh continued to hand over 5 pieces of plastic pipes containing powder and white crystals. The subject confessed that these were heroin and methamphetamine, carried with the purpose of both using and selling for profit.
Expanding the investigation, functional forces conducted an emergency search of Ho Tuan Anh's residence at 299 Thong Nhat (Tay Nha Trang ward), seizing an additional 46 pieces of colorful plastic pipes and 2 nylon bags inside containing white powder and crystals.
After being arrested, Ho Tuan Anh confessed that all the above exhibits were heroin and crystal meth.
Functional forces made a record of arresting the person who committed the crime red-handed against Ho Tuan Anh for the act of illegally trading drugs and Phan Trong Nghia for the act of illegally possessing drugs.
At the same time, all exhibits were seized, and drug and weight tests were requested for handling according to regulations.
