Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang has signed and issued Decision No. 5230/QD-BCA-C06 announcing new administrative procedures; administrative procedures are amended and supplemented and administrative procedures are abolished in the field of issuing and managing identification cards under the authority of the Ministry of Public Security.
Accordingly, there are 10 newly issued administrative procedures, including:
- Issuance, exchange, and re-issuance of ID cards (implemented at the central level);
- Exploiting information of citizens and people of Vietnamese origin whose nationality has not been determined in the National Population Database (implemented at the central level).
- Issuance, exchange, and re-issuance of ID cards (implemented at the provincial level);
- Exploiting information of citizens and people of Vietnamese origin whose nationality has not been determined in the National Population Database (implemented at the provincial level);
- Exploiting information of citizens and people of Vietnamese origin whose nationality has not been determined in the ID database (implemented at the provincial level).
- Issuance, exchange, and re-issuance of ID cards (implemented at the commune level);
- Exploiting information of citizens and people of Vietnamese origin whose nationality has not been determined in the National Population Database (implemented at the commune level);
- Exploiting information of citizens and people of Vietnamese origin whose nationality has not been determined in the ID database (implemented at the commune level);
- Collecting and updating biometric information on DNA and voice into the ID database (implemented at the commune level);
- Collect, update, and adjust information of people of Vietnamese origin whose nationality has not been determined into the National Population Database, ID Database and issue, exchange, and reissue of ID cards (implemented at the commune level).
