At the PEFC Forestry Forum 2025 held in Ho Chi Minh City, according to the Forest Protection Department, Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, PEFC helps ensure more than 75% of the ability to trace the origin from the source to the product, with double-digit growth rate in demand for PEFC certified products globally and significantly reducing illegal timber exploitation activities in PEFC compliance areas.
Among the companies participating in the Forum, APRIL Group stands out for its strong internal sustainability system and deep connections with the local community. As the paper industry is developing in parallel with growth and responsibility, companies like APRIL are looking to prove that profits and awareness of protecting the planet can go hand in hand.
Mr. Aldo Joson, Head of Sustainable Development Affairs at APRIL Corporation, said: "Our internal sustainable development mechanism, with the continuous allocation of resources for conservation and social development, combined with financial accountability with the participation of the community, has created thousands of hectares of forest for community conservation, increasing income for local people".
