On October 2, according to information from the Dong Thap Provincial Police website, in 2 days (September 26 and 28), Trung An Ward Police (Dong Thap Province) caught 5 subjects red-handed for illegally storing and organizing the use of drugs.
On the afternoon of September 26, Trung An Ward Police coordinated with My Tho Industrial Park Police Station to catch 3 subjects red-handed for illegally storing, organizing and using drugs in Binh Tao Quarter (Trung An Ward) including: Nguyen Thanh Giang (36 years old, residing in Vinh Thanh Trung Commune, An Giang Province); Nguyen Hoang Nhan (28 years old, residing in Hong Ngu Ward, Dong Thap Province) and Tran Quoc Cuong (37 years old, residing in Binh Trung Commune, Dong Thap Province).
At the scene, the police seized 2 sealed plastic bags containing white crystalline substances (suspected to be crystal meth), 1 drug use tool (red) containing white crystal meth (suspected to be crystal meth).
The subjects were taken to the ward police for investigation. At the police station, the subjects confessed that the white crystalline substance was in 2 plastic bags and the bag contained drugs. Rapid test results showed that all 3 subjects tested positive for drugs. The results of the examination of the white crystalline substance seized at the scene were crystal meth ( Methaphetamine), with a total weight of 0.6876 grams.
At noon on September 28, Trung An Ward Police continued to catch 2 subjects red-handed organizing illegal use of drugs. At the scene, the police seized a set of drug use tools (red) containing white crystalline substance (suspected to be drugs).
Through a quick test, both subjects tested positive for drugs, and the results of the assessment of the white crystalline substance seized at the scene were methadoline ( methaphetamine).
Currently, the authorities have temporarily detained the above subjects and are continuing to investigate and clarify, handling the subjects according to the provisions of the law.
